GOING DUTCH WITH THE RIDE BEYOND CREW
Are you up for a ride? These guys are as well and they want you to join them: The Ride Beyond Crew is on an adventure again, riding around the Netherlands in seven days. On several parts of the route, they invite you to meet up and go for the day together.
JOIN THE CREW FOR THEIR NEXT RIDE
1250km through all provinces of the Netherlands, divided in 7 days, and climbing the height of El Teide, in the flattest country on earth! A core group of the crew will ride all seven stages starting from Monday the 28th of September, until Sunday, and the others will join for a couple of days or individual stages.
Track the ride beyond crew
As the regulation due to Covid-19 became more strict again, we had to replan our original plan of riding through the Vosges and the Black Forest in France and Germany. Of course, we are going to follow the current guidelines and will stay within the Netherlands. So we had the idea to loop the whole country and meet some riders on our way to make it a bit of a social ride. We’ll be hunting for local delicacies and touristy highlights along the route, so if you have any suggestions let us know on Instagram.

We’re heading along the coast to the south of the Netherlands, hoping to catch some ‘bolussen’ or fresh fish during our ride.
Roosendaal-Breda-Eindhoven-Maastricht
Heading into Brabant, the province of long gravel tracks, worstenbroodjes and the Bossche Bol, burgundian Netherlands at it’s finest.
Maastricht-Nijmegen
The south of the Netherlands is where we find the most hills, so we packed our climbing legs and keep our eyes out for some traditional ‘Limburgse vlaai’ to fuel us. Group ride from Fixed Gear Coffee, Valkenburg.
Nijmegen-Zwolle-Giethoorn
Heading further north we visit one of the more touristy spots in the country, the Giethoorn canal village, hopefully, we’ll get there in time to catch a boat-ride for our photo books. Group ride leaving from Kwakzalver HQ, Zwolle.
Giethoorn-Groningen-Leeuwarden
Hitting the most Northerly provinces, this is where the people become colder and the wind stronger, hopefully the coffee and hospitality of Jelmers ancestors keeps us going. Group ride from from Spaak, Groningen.
Leeuwarden-DenHelder-Texel-DenHelder
Texel was a place on the top of our list of favourite spots to visit, the largest of the ‘Wadden-eilanden’. Mike and Jasmijn know the perfect spot to find oysters, so we are bringing our pocket knives.
DenHelder-Amsterdam-Utrecht
Almost home! Our last stop on this trip is Amsterdam, hopefully, we’ll avoid riding into the canals because we are too tired, but for sure there will be some coffee waiting to help us on the final push.
