Back in May, FOCUS presented three totally new mountain bikes to the international trade press. FOCUS SAM Carbon – an uncompromising Enduro racing bike with 160 mm of suspension travel, FOCUS SPINE – a trail and touring bike with a completely new design and 120 mm of suspension travel, plus the new FOCUS Raven MAX – the ultimate cross-country/marathon hardtail for when you need to fight for those vital seconds.

The SPINE admirably fills a gap in the 120 mm trail bike segment – the trade press is impressed by its ride characteristics and is full of praise for the machine. Its success is based on its sensitive, plush rear triangle in combination with its modern, versatile geometry.
Another new model to be launched on the market is the SPINE ALU, which comes in more competitively-priced versions.

Fabian Scholz from the FOCUS Trail Team rode the aluminium version to win the Specialized Enduro Series in 2015. Meanwhile, SAM Carbon made a stunning debut, taking all three podium places in the German Enduro Championships – an unbelievable achievement! With its 160 mm of suspension travel, aggressive geometry and an extremely sensitive chassis, the SAM Carbon is the obvious choice for any keen Enduro specialist.

In parallel with the successful launch of the Raven MAX at the Cross Country World Cup in Albstadt, Florian Vogel from the FOCUS XC team is already celebrating his second World Cup podium finish this year. This new hardtail boasts characteristics that make it comfortable yet at the same time lightning-fast; small wonder that it has secured a place among the best in the world for mountain bike racing. Building on its many years of development work and huge wealth of expertise, Focus has created a frame that weighs in at an incredible 885 g, making it currently one of the lightest in its class.
