Find your happy place

We believe that e-MTBs have the power to make people happier than ever before. We don’t make them to win races, to be faster than everyone else - we make them because they make people smile. This bike takes the riders to their individual happy place. Either during some fast downhill runs, big jumps or scenic climbs to the top of the highest mountains. LEARN MORE

Ride to preserve

We would like to tell you the story of three friends and work colleagues: Zoe, Martin and Leonie. They love being outdoors. Whether hiking, climbing or cycling – as long as it's out in nature they're happy. For them, it's obvious to preserve their environment so that they can continue to enjoy it in the future. We joined them on their journey to an intact, unpolluted nature. LEARN MORE

Legaler Trailbau

We at FOCUS are very lucky that our Homebase in Stuttgart is less than ten minutes away from many of our favourite trails. But there is one big problem: most of them are illegal. As part of our "Create YOUR Better Tomorrow" project, Trailsurfers Baden-Württemberg got in touch with us. They are committed to the expansion and legalisation of trails. We support them in this.A first-hand conversation about big challenges, hard work and the status quo of legal trail building. LEARN MORE

Exploring Ecuador

I didn’t know much about Ecuador before I went. I found out it translated to ‘Equator’ in Spanish. This narrowed down the location a little. I also knew it was in South America. Other than that I had no idea. Our trip gave me a clearer picture of what Ecuador was like in some ways and left me more confused in others. LEARN MORE

Solo Bikepacking in Scotland

There’s a fine line between excitement and nervousness. I felt frisky that morning and couldn't quite wrap my head around what this experience meant. I’ve always felt at home in two places, being brought up by both a German and a Scottish parent. This trip was meant for me to discover my roots, to find out more about who I am and bring me closer to myself – by bike... LEARN MORE

Road Stories

Munich Mountain Girls and the Stelvio

Anyone who rides a road bike and loves hill climbing knows about the fascination of the great, majestic passes of the Alps. And so it doesn't take long before I as a beginner was gripped by the call of the Alps too. Constanze and I, Céline have spent a long time dreaming about riding up the Stelvio's 48 hairpin bends and elevation profile of 1,800 metres and looking up at the Ortler. And when I was finally in possession of my IZALCO MAX 8.9, we were ready to go. After all, you don't have to be a pro to conquer the Queen of the Alps. Or do you? LEARN MORE

Crossing the alps on a road bike

Corona forced us to stay at home, but it couldn't stop us from dreaming. "As soon as the borders are open, we're off across the Alps on our brand new FOCUS IZALCO MAX 9.7", that's what Munich Mountain Girls Meike and Kaddi had decided: To ride from Munich via Sylvensteinspeicher, Achensee, Patsch, Brenner and Jaufenpass to Lana and back to Sterzing via Penser Joch. And they were excited - after all, the IZALCO MAX is not a climbing goat built for mountain passes, but rather a nippy racing mouse for the flat. Usually... LEARN MORE

Yolomites in the Dolomites

Alarms went off at 6:00 for an early breakfast and last-minute bike-checks. Martijn miraculously found some new confidence and couldn’t wait for the ride to start. The first climbs felt easy, we were not in a rush and didn’t want to burn our matches too soon. Maybe this relaxed start would catch up with us at the end of the day, but we were just enjoying this perfect start of a long day in the saddle. Passo Campolongo was first, no sweat lost. LEARN MORE
