Slide-out battery with up to 750 Wh

The battery can be charged via the integrated charging port at the bike’s seat tube. Alternatively, you can also remove the battery easily and fast, there is no need for any tools. Just unlock the buckle and open the cover to slide out the battery.

Our JAM² features a perfect stiffness-to-weight ratio because the slide-out battery only requires a minimal cut-out in the down tube. Compared to its predecessors, the bike frame became way lighter and compensates the extra weight of additional battery capacity. Still, it doesn't compromise on stability at high speed and rough descents.

Easy head angle adjustment

By turning the headset cups, you can easily adjust the head angle of your e-MTB according to your riding preferences. If you prefer a more agile bike handling, the steeper head angle (64.5°) is your Perfect Match. Switching the headset cups to the slack position (63.5°) results in a more downhill-oriented setting. This head angle adjustment won't have any effect on the seat angle or other bike parameters.

Clean and good-looking cockpit

Thanks to the specially developed C.I.S. (Cockpit Integration Solution), the cockpit of the JAM² looks super clean.
All cables run from the handlebar into the stem and through the headset into the frame of this e-MTB. The C.I.S. also ensures constantly seamless shifting and braking.

Tool bag

The JAM² comes with an exactly fitting tool bag for your essentials. The tool bag sits perfectly aligned in the angle of the top and down tube of the aluminium frame and is screwed to the down tube.
The tool bag can take a tube, tool and pump or CO2 cartridge. Or whatever small essentials you need on your ride. With a velcro strap mounted on the base plate of the tool bag, you can fix your gear to avoid rattling.

JAM² 8. series: carbon

The carbon frame with alloy chainstays makes the JAM² 8. series light and nimble. It is designed with a clear frame silhouette. To accomplish a low stand-over height as well as easy and agile bike handling, we semi-integrated the shock into the top tube. This provides generous space for moving and keeps your knees away from all edges, knobs, or levers. Still, all parts to adjust your shock settings are easy to reach.

JAM² 8. series: carbon

If you prefer an even cleaner cockpit, you can easily remove the Kiox display. All e-drive information such as battery status or riding mode is also shown on the integrated Bosch system controller at the top tube. You can switch your riding modes via the compact and wireless Mini Remote on your handlebar.

JAM² 6. series: Aluminium

Our JAM² 6. series (except JAM² 6.7) features a nicely integrated USB-C port at the e-MTB's top tube. It allows you to power your light or charge your smartphone and GPS. As these full-suspension bikes feature a battery with up to 750 Wh, there is always enough energy from your e-drive that you can use for your electrical devices. This way, you can also extend your rides into the night.

Geometry

How does it ride?

The F.O.L.D. suspension kinematics was developed to offer a super smooth and sensitive ride with great bottom-out resistance. This is achieved by a linear-progressive suspension curve. Riders who have ridden it describe it as “active and poppy feeling” which they are not used on EMTBs with higher system weights.

Whos benefits?

Two types of riders benefit from this in different ways. The more experienced riders enjoy the active feel of the bike. It responds well in fast corners, on quick movements and weight shifts. Less experienced riders appreciate the great control over the bike. The bike gives active feedback and doesn’t overwhelm the rider. And both groups of riders enjoy the great bottom-out resistance equally.

SUPER LOW STANDOVER HEIGHT

One of the major reasons why we chose the upper position
of the rear shock was to achieve greater standover height.
With this design, we could lower the seat tube significantly
to previous generations of bikes. This offers three great benefits:

1) An improved centre of gravity as the centre of mass is lower
2) Running longer dropper post to get a better downhill
performance
3) Low standover height for improved bike handling in
technical terrain

ANTI SQUAT

The main pivot is really close to the axle, low anti
squat causes little pedal kick-back. Anti squat
value is close to 100 when you ride in sag. It
means the bike not only descends pretty well, but it
also has a great climbing ability. Especially on
technical terrain where consistent traction is key.

Shimano EP8 e-drive

The Shimano EP8 offers 85 Nm of power support on your ride up to 25 km/h. You can customise your ride with two motor support profiles. Our own developed battery system with 720 Wh is fully integrated but still easy to remove with external and internal charging options.

BATTERY INTEGRATION

For everyone who wants to take the battery out for charging, you just need to unscrew one single bolt to slide out the battery. For everyone else, you can just charge the bike at the lower end of the down tube. The design of the battery is unique due to its shape. Since the downtube is slightly curved to realize well-working geometries.

USB-C

Nicely placed at the bike’s main switch, we have integrated a USB-C charging option. There you can power up your phone or GPS.

FLIP CHIP

The new FLIP CHIP at our linkage can be used to adjust the geometry to an even more aggressive riding style. The small adjustment of the head angle changes your whole setup making it even more downhill-oriented. From a nimble ride to high stability. What it means down to numbers? From 65,5° head angle to 65°; from 76,5° seat tube angle to 76°; from 446,5 mm chainstay to 448 mm; from 19,5 mm BB Drop to 20 mm.

BOTTLE CAGE ADAPTER

From size medium upwards, all bikes can carry a big 750 ml water bottle without any issue. For everyone who will run a more downhill oriented setup with his bike and chooses a piggyback rear shock, we developed a bottle cage adapter to keep carrying your water bottle on rides. It slightly changes the position of the bottle and prevents any interference with the piggyback.

KICKSTAND ADAPTER

We have designed an almost invisible option to mount a kickstand. All bikes come with a tiny adapter to use an 18mm standard kickstand. For everyone else, it’s almost invisible.

C.I.S. STEM

All cables (brake housing, shifting, dropper post and e-drive cables) get routed carefully through the stem and into the frame. Not only does it keep everything tidy and great looking; it also protects the cables from external influences. We made it work for both mechanical and electric shifting.

TOOL BAG

Between the top and down tube we have placed a handybtool bag. It’s just big enough to carry a tube, a mini tool and a tiny pump. It’s well secured with two Allen screws and perfectly integrated into the design of the bike.

SILENT CHAINSTAY PROTECTOR

The chainstay protector was engineered in a way to minimize the noise caused by the slamming chain. The ribs and the grooves absorb a significant amount of energy and play a major role in a rattle-free riding experience.

150 KG SYSTEM WEIGHT

All bikes have been approved for a system weight of 150 kg without any compromise in regards to intended use. Not only does this prove the reliability of our bikes, it also provides heavier riders to discover their happy place safely.

FORK BUMPER

To protect the bike from damage when things get out of control, we designed a special fork bumper to stop your handlebar from hitting the top tube.

PROTECTION STICKER KIT

All bikes come with a kit of thick protection foil to prevent any damage caused by little rock.

UDH REAR DERAILLEUR HANGER

The bikes come with an universal rear derailleur hanger (UDH= Universal Derailleur Hanger) which allows you to get spare ones anywhere quick and easy.

LONG LASTING DETAILS

Mud, dirt and water can be tough on bikes. Over time these conditions can lead to some significant wear and tear issues. Therefore we paid special attention to the bearings. Most of the linkage related bearings which have to withstand high loads are double sealed once.

COMPONENTS CHOICES

We also picked the fitting components for this approach. Wheelsets, forks and seat posts had to undergo some extreme stress tests to receive our 150 kg approval. We increased the seat post diameter to 34,9 mm, went to bigger stanchions with up to 38 mm diameter and used special wheelsets with reinforced spokes, nipples and cassette bodies. The stronger 1.8" head tube follows this same direction of increased diameter.

Der neue FLIP CHIP an der Umlenkung des Hinterbaus kann dazu genutzt werden, die Geometrie auf eine noch aggressivere Fahrweise anzupassen. So veränderst du den Steuerwinkel minimal und dein komplettes Set-up bekommt noch mehr Abfahrtspotenz. Von 65,5° Lenkwinkel zu 65°; von 76,5° Sitzwinkel zu 76°; von 446,5 mm Kettenstreben zu 448 mm; von 19,5 mm BB Drop zu 20 mm.

ADAPTER FÜR FLASCHENHALTER

Von mittleren Größen aufwärts, können alle Bikes eine große 750 ml Wasserflasche ohne Probleme aufnehmen. Für jeden, der ein mehr abfahrtsorientiertes Setup und einen Piggyback-Dämpfer fahren will, haben wir einen Adapter für den Flaschenhalter entwickelt, so dass du deine Flasche mitnehmen kannst. Er verändert die Position der Flasche leicht und verhindert ein Zusammentreffen mit dem Piggypack.

Praktisch: am Hauptschalter des Bikes ist auch eine USB-C Ladeoption integriert.
Dort kannst du dein Telefon oder GPS-Gerät laden.

C.I.S. VORBAU

Alle Kabel (Bremszughüllen, Schaltung, Variostütze und Motorkabel) werden mit Bedacht durch den Vorbau geführt und über dem Batteriefach im Unterrohr abgesichert. Das gibt allem nicht nur einen aufgeräumten, großartigen Look, sondern es schützt die Kabel auch vor äußeren Einflüssen. Wir bieten diese Integration sowohl für mechanische als auch elektrische Schaltungen.

ZUBEHÖRTASCHE

Zwischen dem Ober- und dem Unterrohr haben wir eine praktische Zubehörtasche platziert. Sie ist gerade groß genug, dass ein Schlauch, ein Minitool und eine kleine Pumpe hineinpassen. Mit zwei Inbusschrauben ist sie sicher am Rahmen befestigt und perfekt in das Design des Bikes integriert.

ADAPTER FÜR STÄNDER

Beim JAM² 7. haben wir eine versteckte Möglichkeit entwickelt, einen Ständer zu montieren. Alle Modelle haben einen winzigen Adapter integriert, um einen 18 mm Standard-Ständer anzubringen – für jeden, der einen möchte. Für alle anderen ist er nahezu unsichtbar.

KETTENSTREBENSCHUTZ

Der Kettenstrebenschutz wurde so entwickelt, dass er möglichst viele Geräusche minimiert, die Kettenschläge verursachen. Seine grobe Rillenstruktur absorbiert einen wesentlichen Teil der Energie und trägt so zu einem „klapperfreien“ Fahrerlebnis bei.

UDH SCHALTAUGE

Die Bikes kommen mit einem universellen Hänger (UDH= Universal Derailleur Hanger) für das Schaltwerk, der es dir erlaubt
überall Ersatzteile schnell und einfach zu bekommen.

150 KG SYSTEMGEWICHT

Alle Räder wurden für ein maximales Systemgewicht von 150 kg zugelassen, ohne Kompromisse beim vorhergesehenen Einsatzgebiet einzugehen. Das beweist nicht nur die Zuverlässigkeit unserer Bikes, sondern ermöglicht auch, dass schwereren Fahrer*innen genauso ermöglicht ihren Happy Place sicher zu erreichen.

GABELANSCHLAG

Um das Bike vor Rahmenschäden zu schützen, wenn die Dinge außer Kontrolle geraten, haben wir einen speziellen Gabel-Stopper entwickelt, der den Lenker stoppt, bevor er das Oberrohr trifft.

SCHUTZSTICKER-KIT

Alle Räder kommen mit einem Schutzfolien-Kit, das jede Beschädigung durch kleine Steine im Rahmen verhindern soll.

LANGHALTENDE DETAILS

Matsch, Schmutz und Wasser können hart für Bikes sein. Über die Zeit können diese Einflüsse zu Abnutzungs- und Verschleißproblemen führen. Deshalb haben wir besonders auf die Lager geachtet: Die meisten der Lager an den Drehpunkten des Hinterbaus, die schweren Belastungen standhalten müssen, sind doppelt gedichtet.

KOMPONENTENAUSWAHL

Wir haben auch die Komponenten passend dafür gewählt. Laufräder, Gabel und Sattelstütze mussten einen extremen Belastungstest bestehen, um unsere 150 kg-Freigabe zu erhalten. Wir haben den Durchmesser der Sattelstütze auf 34,9 mm erweitert, dickere Standrohre mit bis zu 38 mm Durchmesser gewählt und nutzen spezielle Laufräder mit verstärkten Speichen, Nippeln und Kasettenkörpern. Der stärkere 1,8" Steuersatz folgt gleichermaßen den wachsenden Durchmessern.
