The ATLAS is built to accompany your escape into nature. Due to the combination of long reach and short stem, it is a rather long bike resulting in a smooth ride. The front end provides confidence while going downhill, while short chainstays make the gravel bike playful and agile. Thanks to various mounting options, the ATLAS is ready to carry all your equipment for your next bikepacking adventure. On top, it offers up to 47 mm tyre clearance (carbon version: 45 mm). The ATLAS EQP models are already fully equipped with a rack, fenders, kickstand and a lighting system. Whether in bad weather conditions or on demanding surfaces, when suffering during steep climbs or going the really long distances – the fast and comfortable gravel bike offers full control and maximum versatility. The ATLAS fully supports your ride – even to the end of the world.

Three water bottle cages fit. One on the seat tube, one on top of the down tube, one underneath the down tube.
Why is there a 4 mm Allen key bit in the accessory kit?
We include a 4 mm allen key bit (article number 800001300) to use with a torque wrench for the seatpost clamp. We recommend using it for smaller frame sizes, although it is in the package for all sizes.

Parts

Can I add an internal dropper post?
Yes, technically you can add a dropper post.
Can I add fenders, kickstand, rack?
Yes, you can add fenders for both the 6. and 8. series. There is a total of four different fender sets for all possible bike setups and combinations. See the next question for details on the fender sets. The Pannier Rack (890003100) and kickstand (463001300) can only be mounted on the 6. series bikes. For the kickstand you need an additional adapter (890002400).
What kind ot fender sets are available and where do they fit?
There are two dedicated fender sets for equipped bikes for 1by and 2by setups each, with the front fender being prepared for a light:
Fender kit EQP 2by (for ATLAS 6.8 EQP & 6.9): 890005300
Fender kit EQP 1by (for ATLAS 6.7): 890006900
Please note that both the Fenderkit EQP 1by and the Fenderkit EQP 2by can only be mounted in combination with the Pannier Rack (890003100).
There are also two clean fender sets that work without the Pannier Rack to ensure the best functionality and look for both 1by and 2by setups:
Fender kit 1by (for 6. & 8. series): 890006500
Fender kit 2by (for 6. & 8. series): 890006600
If you need more info on the assembly of the fender kits, please check the manual one tab further in the download area.
Can I change between 1by and 2by or between electronic shifting and mechanical shifting? What are 1by and 2by?
Yes, changing is possible. It means that the bike is either equipped with two or only one chainring in the front. So 1by would refer to one chainring in the front and 2by to two chainrings. A change requires different parts such as STIs, cassette, chainring and chain. We advise contacting your FOCUS dealer to assist with changing the setup.
What cranks are compatible?
Cranks with chainrings up to 46 teeth for 1by and 48/31 teeth for 2by are compatible. The chainlines for Shimano and SRAM are as follows:
Shimano 1by: 49.7 mm chainline
SRAM: 47.5 mm WIDE chainline
Does the bike have a chainstay protector?
Yes, all models have a chainstay protector.
Where do I route the cable for the rear derailleur if I want to change from wirelss to mechanical shifting?
On the chainstay protector you can find a perforated oval shape where you can easily pierce a hole in to guide your shifting cable from the chainstay to the rear derailleur.
Why does my packed downtube storage bag not fit in the frame?
The bag literally tells you how full you can pack it. The velcro straps should be aligned perfectly to ensure that the bag fits in the frame. If there is overlap on the velcro strap, it is very likely too full.

How do I change the stem or stem length?
You can order a different stem length via your dealer. During the IZALCO MAX development process, it was key to make the stem easily exchangeble without removing or cutting any cables. But you should consider the following: Switching to a longer stem might require longer cables. Make sure the cables are long enough. Switching to a shorter stem might lead to long cables which could be shortened for a cleaner look. Here are all stem lengths with their order number:
AM120222009 C.I.S. stem 70 mm
AM120222010 C.I.S. stem 80 mm
AM120222011 C.I.S. stem 90 mm
AM120222012 C.I.S. stem 100 mm
