Suspension

What SAG do you recommend? What is SAG?
SAG is the amount of way the shock compresses when you just sit on your bike without moving. You adjust it with the pressure you pump in your shock with a shock pump. Our SAG recommendation is 30%. To see the actual percentage, you use the O-Ring that is placed on the fork and shock. For detailed set-up recommendations for your shock, see this chart: JAM 6. models

Parts

Can I add an internal dropper post?
Yes. And all our JAM come with a dropper post.
Can I add a chain guide?
Yes, the JAM offers ISCG05 tabs.
Does the bike have a chain stay protector?
Yes, it has one.
Can I change to electronic shifting / mechanical shifting
Yes, both is possible.

Technology

How does the FLIP CHIP work? What do I need to do? And what is it good for?
The FLIP CHIP at our JAM's linkage can be used to adjust the geometry to an even more aggressive riding style. For nimble handling on playful trails, leave the FLIP CHIP on 'HIGH' position and it gives you great agility. You like it rough and tough and your trails are nasty, switch onto 'LOW'. The small adjustment of the head angle from 65,5° to 65° changes your whole set-up of the JAM making it even more downhill-oriented.
What is I.C.S.? How do I open it ? (Only 8. series)
I.C.S. stands for Internal Compartment Solution and is our way to smartly hide your essentials in the carbon frame of the JAM 8. series. An integrated tool bag that fits your essentials for the ride is tightly attached within your down tube but can be taken off if necessary. A cover on top of the down tube protects the tool bag from dirt and makes the bike look clean. The cover easily opens up by pressing a button and you are ready to get your gear.

Equipment

Can I add fenders, kickstand, rack?
No, a fender and rack is not possible, but you can install a kickstand with an adapter if you really want.
Can I attach a bike trailer?
As there is no legitimated test process, we can not give another statement than no.

NUMERATION

THE FOCUS SYSTEM OF NUMERATION
All bikes are labelled with two numbers which are divided by a dot. The number in front of the dot represents the frame material and its quality. The number behind the dot stands for the level of specification. Carbon is always attributed with the highest number: 9 stands for the highest quality carbon layup, 8 is an "eco" layup or carbon/aluminium mix. Our aluminium bikes start at 7 or lower.
Example: JAM 8.9
8.9: Carbon frame and aluminium rear triangle
8.9: the highest level of components within this frame platform
X.0 is an exceptional spec that might even represent a limited edition.
