What sitting position is the best for you on your racing bike?

Our endurance racing bikes are suitable for both for long tours on country roads and for spectacular cycling marathons such as the Ötztal Cycle Marathon or the Maratona dles Dolomites. The sitting position is athletic yet comfortable. These racing bikes offer maximum smooth-riding comfort.

Our racing bikes are designed for very sporty, race-oriented riding. The sitting position is very flat and aerodynamic. In other words, you sit in a very elongated position with your shoulders bent over the handlebars. These racing bikes boast maximum stiffness with minimal weight.

Our Aero racing bikes are built for time-trial riders and triathletes. They are characterised by their special aerodynamic properties. The sitting position adopted on a time-trial or triathlon bike is absolutely flat, so you’re sitting bent as far as possible over the handlebars and creating as little wind resistance as possible. These racing bikes offer superb aerodynamics.

What else should I look out for when purchasing a racing bike?

Depending on your personal preferences and how much you’d like to spend, you still have a few more decisions to make:

- Should your racing bike’s frame be made of aluminium or carbon?
- Would you like mechanical or electronic gear shifting?
- Do you prefer using rim brakes or disc brakes?

You should also get yourself measured at a FOCUS specialist dealer so you can select a racing bike frame that suits you.

What are the special features of FOCUS racing bikes?
