review
The largest European magazine "Bike" gave the FOCUS SPINE SL a value-for-money award along with a "Very Good" rating in its trail bike test*.
Even before riding the bike, the testers were clearly enthusiastic about the FOCUS SPINE's design: "Focus was absolutely spot on with the design of this carbon main frame." But the SPINE SL cuts an extremely fine figure on the trail too: "Its characteristic curves look every bit as comfortable as its chassis feels."
"As per the test results reported in the January 2016 issue of BIKE, the SL version of this 27.5-inch wheeler lives up to its reputation as a "trail killer". The rider takes a central position on the bike and, thanks to the wide handlebar, rigid main frame and telescopic seatpost, will still have a smile on their face even when going is rough.
Its wide gear ratio range and remote control chassis mean that the Spine is also suitable for gobbling up the kilometres on a firm surface."
Verdict: Its well-designed chassis, modern geometry and effective equipment round off a package that is very difficult to beat for € 3799.

*Eight full-suspension trail bikes were tested. All eight were rated "Very Good", while only one was given a value-for-money award.
