Amazing how Romain Bardet (Team AG2R La Mondiale) nearly flew to his Solo-win at stage 18 of the Tour de France 2015.
After the brilliant victory of Alexis Vuillermoz at the Mûr-de-Bretagne (8th stage) and podium ranks, this is the second stage win for Team AG2R La Mondiale at the Tour de France 2015. Bardet gained also many points for the mountain jersey and is now leading together with Joaquin Rodriguez (Katusha) with 68 points. Bardet wanted to use every chance in the last mountain stages to attack out of a breakaway for a stage win. More than 20 kilometer before the finish line, Romain Bardet did the final attack and rode the descent with an impressive speed. Perfect conditions for his 2016 FOCUS Izalco MAX. Bardet is not only a rider with brilliant technical skills, he is also very technical oriented – this is why there is a perfect relationship between this pro rider and his FOCUS bike.
