The THRON² 6.8 EQP ABS is equipped with the ABS system.
If you want to retrofit the THRON² EQP 6.7 with the ABS, we will have to disappoint you. This is not approved and, with the rest of the components installed, is not recommended at all.
How does the ABS system work?
The Bosch ABS system makes it easier to brake safely. This has two decisive advantages when braking: Skidding front wheels and going over the handlebars are now a thing of the past. Sensors monitor the front wheel speed. If things get dicey and the front wheel threatens to lock up, the ABS regulates the braking pressure. This provides significantly more control, especially on loose gravel and in wet conditions. At the same time, it prevents the rear wheel from lifting during heavy braking. In addition to the safety feature, the ABS also has a trail mode. This adjusts the brake assistance more quickly to changes in the terrain and is more responsive. This has a noticeable effect on riding enjoyment and manoeuvring on the trail – and thus ensures more confidence on the trail.
Which ABS modes are installed on the THRON² EQP models?
The THRON² EQP is equipped with the Allroad and Trail ABS modes. In addition, the ABS can also be switched off.
Where can I choose between the different ABS modes in the menu?
In the settings on your KIOX, the first item is ABS. You can then choose between the different modes.
When does the ABS system work?
The ABS system supports you in many braking situations. To make it work, the e-bike must be started and accelerated once above 6 km/h. The ABS system also works at speeds above 25 km/h, even when the e-bike is no longer supported.
What can I do if ABS errors are displayed?
If errors are displayed for the ABS system, please contact your FOCUS dealer immediately.
