Cycling Plus awarded the MARES Rival 1 with 4,5 of 5 stars meaning the MARES wins the 25th Anniversary test of the magazine against five competitors. Lightweight, light handling and speed stability are the highs the testers discovered. The magazine’s recommendation is that you should buy it if “you want a competition level cyclo-cross bike that’s capable of much more.”

The German specialist magazine EMTB invited the ten most interesting bikes of 2017 to participate in a comparison test*. The clear test winner, the JAM² Plus Pro rode straight into pole position with the top rating "Super". The testers loved the JAM² both in the laboratory and on the trail and it came out top in a comparison of the best – not least due to its most innovative concept.

The French bike magazine Vélo Tout Terrain tested the FOCUS O1E team and gave it a rating of 16.4 points out of 20. The testers particularly liked the FOCUS O1E’s pleasantly simple handling, its effective damping and its comfort and agility.

The specialist magazine Tour subjected the PARALANE Ultegra to a marathon aptitude test. The testers awarded it a rating of 1.7 – Very good – for its versatile top performance on any terrain and in all weathers. The testers were particularly impressed with its high spring comfort, lightweight design and wide-ranging gears. The German magazine also loved the mudguards, included in the price, and the R.A.T. thru-axle system with quick release. In fact, the testers were unable to find any negative points at all.

BIKE Bild magazine has declared the JAM² Plus Pro the e-bike test winner*. The JAM² outperformed all other bikes in the test and was awarded 29.5 out of 35 BIKE Bild stars, leaving its competitors trailing in its wake. The testers were particularly impressed with the level of pure riding fun and the assist factor on the mountain.

The Spanish bike magazine Ciclista took a very close look indeed at the PARALANE 105, awarding it 4 out of 5 stars. The versatile usability, the ideal braking performance and the sturdy and comfortable frame were the stand-out features for the test crew.

“Mountainbike Rider” put the VICE Factory through its paces and ultimately said that it was an absolute must-buy. The key point for the testers was that the VICE has far more potential than the suspension travel would have you believe. You feel nothing but pure joy while riding this bike.

The JAM Evo has been rated as “very good”* in the comparison test conducted by the German magazine “Bike”. The JAM notched up 174 points, and the testers were particularly keen on its playful handling and outstanding performance when going round bends.

Innovative efficiency and fun in a new dimension are the key facts of the JAM C SL the editors of Spanish magazine “Bikes World” discovered. They awarded the JAM with 4 out 5 stars. What they liked most is the absorbing capacity of the suspension, the light-weight frame and the drivetrain.

As a new benchmark on the trail scene the JAM wins a Design & Innovation Award. The Testers especially liked the new F.O.L.D. rear end and the typically FOCUS design cues.

Blurring the boundaries between conventional mountain bikes and E-MTBs the JAM² wins a Design & Innovation Award. The jury was impressed by the direct handling and fun ride as well as by the flexibility of the T.E.C. system.

The PARALANE Factory wins the Red Dot Award for Product Design. Here is what the Jury says: ”The Focus Paralane Factory Spec race bike realises the combination of a technically top performance and a riding experience that delivers fun and comfort, in a skillfully innovative way.”
