FOCUS: After the long winter many are longing for the first trips in the forest. FOCUS offers with the Black Forest Pro a high quality allrounder. For whom is this bike made?

Philipp Friedrichs: The Black Forest Pro is exactly the right one for someone who would like to be on the way in the open country and in the forest. It is a real sports bike. Due to its sporty seat position and slight weight, it really provides fun now in the spring and pleasure for a long summer.

FOCUS: What do you like most about the bike FOCUS Black Forest Pro?

PF: Clearly the frame. The conical head tube with a diameter from 1 1/8 to 1 1/2 ‘’ is technically and optically a highlight. Basically the dynamics and elegance of the bike appeal to me.

FOCUS: Also for those not so ambitious it is now again worthwhile to mount a bike. Why?

PF: In principle cycling is the perfect form of locomotion. For one reason bicycling improves one’s fitness and the general wellbeing. At the same time, however, it also saves money- and especially important – CO2. Just in everyday life one can protect the environment so uncomplicatedly an one also feels so good about it at the same time.

FOCUS: And what does one have to take into consideration when one wants to one’s bike again in top condition?

PF: In order to be safe one should control whether the brake pads are run down and if the brake cables are dirty or rusty. In addition the chain should be checked and greased accordingly. Whoever does not feel comfortable with this type of work, is always well advised to consult a specialty workshop to carry out an inspection.
