FOCUS TRAIL TEAM secures the overall win in the Specialized-SRAM Enduro Series
Big day for the FOCUS TRAIL TEAM at the final race in Leogang: team rider Fabian Scholz defended his lead and sealed the overall win in the Specialized-SRAM Enduro Series for the first time. Teammate Markus Reiser's third place overall and his brother Tobias's victory on the final day in Leogang made it a resoundingly successful outing for the team.
Having ridden consistently well throughout the series, Fabian Scholz went into the final day with a comfortable lead on points, so nothing short of downright bad luck could have lost him the overall series victory. His 8th place in Leogang was enough to secure him the series win. On the podium, he was also able to congratulate his teammate and winner of the day Tobias Reiser and his brother Mark, who was able to secure through his third place in Leogang also took third place in the overall standings.
"I'm delighted with the overall win. I didn't expect us to be so successful in our very first year. I'm pleased that the energy and effort we put into the team is paying off," says Fabian Scholz, who, fittingly, works full-time as a developer and test rider for FOCUS to help make new bikes road- and trail-ready.
Andreas Krajewski, FOCUS Brand Manager, agrees that this is a winning combination. He comments: "We have learnt two things from the successes of the FOCUS TRAIL TEAM: we have in our range the fastest bike – the FOCUS SAM – and in our ranks the fastest engineer in the Enduro circuit – Fabian Scholz."
