Focus Bikes

January saw the Dutch trade magazine Bike & Trekking turn its attention to 29ers in a price range from € 1500 to € 1800. One of the bikes tested was the FOCUS Black Forest 29R, and the test editors were especially impressed with its value for money.

Whilst the preceding model from 2011 failed to impress the Bike & Trekking testers, the geometry of the latest model meets with the approval of the editors. Its steep setback helps the rider to climb hills, whilst its relatively shallow stem angle, deep bottom bracket and wide backward-turned handlebars provide control and stability on descents.
