  • If you wish to take up the offer of our* 5-year manufacturer’s guarantee, you must activate your 5-year manufacturer's guarantee by going to our website and complete your online registration at the following web page: www.focus-bikes.com within eight calendar weeks of the date of purchase of the relevant carbon frame or carbon forks.
  • Activation of the 5-year manufacturer’s warranty is free of charge. Once you have activated the guarantee, it will be deemed to take effect from the date that the relevant carbon frame or carbon forks were delivered to you and will continue for a period of 5 calendar years from that date.
  • The 5-year guarantee is not offered in relation to any other products than carbon frames and carbon forks purchased directly from us* and applies only to carbon frames and carbon forks purchased from us* in the United Kingdom.
  • Subject to your activation of the 5-year manufacturer’s guarantee as above, should manufacturing or material faults become apparent on your carbon frame, or corresponding carbon fork if you have a racing bike, within the 5-year guarantee period referred to above, you will be entitled to repair or replacement of the relevant frame or fork, and the procedure for making and processing claims is as follows:
    • please contact your local FOCUS Bikes specialist dealer informing them of the relevant fault and confirming that you are making a claim under this 5-year manufacturer’s guarantee. It is your local FOCUS Bikes specialist dealer who will manage your guarantee and will process any claims you make.
    • Your local FOCUS Bikes specialist dealer will require you to provide your evidence of purchase and will need to verify your activation of your guarantee in accordance with the above. You will need to deliver the relevant frame or forks to your local FOCUS Bikes specialist dealer for them to analyse the claimed fault and verify if the fault in question is covered by this guarantee or not and the local FOCUS Bikes specialist dealer’s decision in this regard will be final subject that you will receive a full explanation in the event that your claim is unsuccessful.
    • Subject to compliance with the above, valid claims will be actioned by your local FOCUS Bikes specialist dealer who will provide and fit your new or repaired frame or forks                     
  • The 5-year guarantee period under these terms is fixed from the date of delivery note above and is not extended in the case of a repair or replacement following a claim.
  • Only manufacturing defects and faults relating to relevant carbon frames and carbon forks present at the time of delivery to the purchaser are covered by this 5-year guarantee. The paint finish, coatings and Eloxal finish on FOCUS Bikes carbon frames and carbon forks are included in this 5-year guarantee. Any damage to the relevant carbon frame or carbon forks or their paint finish, coatings and Eloxal finish, which occurs after your local FOCUS Bikes specialist dealer has delivered them to you and which does not occur as a result of a manufacturing fault, is not covered by the terms of this guarantee.
  • If your model is no longer included in our product portfolio within the 5-year guarantee period when you make a claim, you will receive a suitable equivalent and compatible replacement model from the existing product range.    

Please note: statutory claims made against the seller for any material defects in relation to implied warranties of satisfactory quality or fitness for purpose are not affected by this guarantee. This means: should your bike have a fault which was already present at the time of risk transfer (risk transfer takes place when the buyer takes delivery of the bike once the purchase is completed) which renders the bike of unsatisfactory quality or unfit for purpose, the buyer can claim for this fault against the seller within two years of this date. We would like you to note that in this context, as with the guarantee, only initial defects already present, whether visible or hidden, at the time of risk transfer constitute material defects, and not normal wear and tear.
