Jelly Belly Cycling Team Continues Winning Ways
Global wins for US-Team Jelly Belly p/b Kenda
The Focus-sponsored Jelly Belly Cycling Team finished its Tour of California preparation campaign in style, with impressive wins on the global stage over the past two months. First came a dominating performance at the Tour of Murrieta, in southern California, where Jelly Belly’s Sean Mazich won the overall title. Mazich’s win was the result of superior teamwork by the “Bellies”, who won the overall team competition as well. Following the Murrieta win, Jelly Belly’s Will Dickeson sped to victory in the individual time trial at the Oceania Championships in Shepparton, Victoria, Australia. Will’s winning ride aboard his Focus Izalco Chrono could land him a spot in the world time trial championships, representing his home country of Australia. Continuing their spring world tour, the team returned to the United States to ride strong in the prestigious Redlands Classic Stage Race. The next stop was the Tour of Korea, where the team executed a perfect lead-out in the final stage to launch sprinter Ken Hanson to the stage victory. Not to be outdone, Jelly Belly’s veteran sprinting sensation Brad Huff won the Dana Point Grand Prix on May 1st, ahead of a charging field. All-in-all, and excellent build-up for the centerpiece of American racing, the Amgen Tour of California. Best of luck to Jelly Belly in the Tour!
