Spotlight on…the Cayo Evo 1.0
The Italian specialist magazine Bici Sport takes a closer look at the Cayo Evo
Under the title ‘Spotlight on ...’, the Italian specialist magazine Bici Sport took a very close look at the Cayo Evo 1.0 – and liked what it saw.
In the opinion of the tester, the bike is a ‘high performance’ machine in every respect. Its combination of simple lines, a personal touch and well conceived internal cable routing was found to be particularly impressive. In addition, the editors made reference to the extremely compact seat stay and the highly rigid fork. The latter was an original idea from FOCUS. Its name ‘Cayo Evo T4’ reveals the fact that this fork was made especially for this particular model, which was launched in 2012. This is clear to see, and not just from the smooth transitions in the design, either. Bici Sport emphasised the extremely rigid finishing kit and was already calling for sporty attacks in the title of the article: “A stiffer front for great attacks.” The perfect racing machine, also for professionals and ambitious cyclists, which is why the UCI-compliance is stressed time and time again.
The full article with pictures and text can be found in the May edition of Bici Sport (in English).
The bike was examined in an individual test.
