An old favourite made even better – the Cayo 7.0
British magazine CYCLING PLUS has tested and rated the new Cayo 7.0, and the results speak for themselves: 4.5 out of 5 stars and outstanding detailed assessments.
"The Cayo is not a cobble eater, but the frame does an admirable job of absorbing road buzz, succeeding in preserving a great sense of willingness when the urge to hurt oneself strikes. Reasonably but not excessively aggressive geometry lets you get low if you want to, and the 52/36 chainrings and 11-28 cassette offer a range of gears that should satisfy most riders.
The Cayo is a hell of a lot of bike for your money. If you're desperate to shed weight, there's a fair saving to be made in the wheels, but it's nice enough in its stock form that we wouldn't bother", says the testing editorial team of the Cayo.
In the overall verdict of all presented road bikes, the following was said about the Cayo: "For the best combination of performance, comfort and value, the FOCUS Cayo 7.0 is outstanding. The bike is based on an excellent frame for a GBP 1300 road bike and combines a low weight with the right balance between stiffness and accurate tracking, which is completed by an above-average selection of components. The original Cayo was a real champion in terms of its value for money, and FOCUS has confidently defended this title with this new model".
Verdict of the editorial team: The Cayo offers the ultimate in riding fun, and at fantastic value for money.
